They're not just saying hello... what to do the next time you notice a sign

A charm of hummingbirds

Feathers. Heart-shaped stones. Songs. Numbers.

When we hold love in our hearts for those who have died, they sense it - and they send love back through these signs. The sign itself is them showing up. But there's more available if you're willing to go a little deeper.

Here's a practice for you: when you notice a sign, place a hand on your heart. Feel into who it might be  maybe a face, a voice, an image, a memory drifts into your awareness. Invite in curiosity.

Who is this, and is there guidance here? Let your thoughts settle on a question you're holding, then check in again. What do you sense now?

My "charm" of hummingbirds - my mom and dad, a cousin, and a dear friend - followed me from one house to another on the island. Each one is distinct in their coloring, and I was overjoyed when each appeared at the new place. They take turns visiting, and I always greet them with gratitude, then do a quick check-in on where my thoughts were when they showed up.

My mom tends to arrive when I need to feel loved. She wasn't so affectionate in human form, but she's all about the love now. When I'm doubting myself, my dad shows up to cheer me on. My cousin helps me stay grounded in what's real, and my friend reminds me to trust my spiritual connections.

You don't need to worry that an unwelcome presence will butt in - there is so much love on the other side, and love is what guides these connections.

The healing that comes from developing these relationships at a different level can remove blocks and open up so much possibility.

Try this practice, and reply back - I'd love to hear what happens when you take a few minutes and go deeper.

In peace,

Johanna

P.S. What a joy to find out that a group of hummingbirds is called a "charm"!
