How I got started as a Medium- a crazy story!

People often ask how I knew I was a Medium- it was such a surprise.

There I was on a Zoom call with an advance care planning client, engaged in a deeply meaningful conversation about her wishes for how she wanted to live out the rest of her life.

I noticed that my left leg was twitching non-stop, and suddenly I heard a voice say "Tell her Uncle Charlie's here!"

I didn't want to interrupt the flow so I tried ignoring the voice, but my leg continued to move and I heard the same message several more times.

Finally I said to myself "Okay, this is weird but I'm going with it!" and shared the following:

"Um, this may sound crazy, but there's an Uncle Charlie telling me to let you know that he's here, and that you don't have to feel bad about how his end of life went. Do you have an Uncle Charlie across the veil?"

The client gasped and said "Yes, I do! He was like a father to me but I wasn't able to be there when he died. That was more than 20 years ago and I've felt bad about it ever since." 

I shared what he was telling me- that he understood completely why she hadn't been able to be there, and that his death occurred as it was meant to be and he is at peace.

I could hardly keep myself from cracking up the whole time this is going on. Weird, right? That was his personality coming through, as the client confirmed that he was always the life of the party and kept everyone in stitches. 

He shared more details, including his black curly hair and mustache, and yes, my leg finally stopped twitching! The client's demeanor changed dramatically as she realized that she didn't have to hold the weight of those feelings anymore.
